KARACHI: The notorious gangster and the failed chairman of the People’s Safe Committee Uzair Jan Baloch was sent to Karachi Central Prison on Monday.
The gang leader, a key figure in Lyari’s cruel gang war, was reportedly sent to the city’s main prison after the end of his military trial.
He was arrested by Rangers during a targeted operation on the outskirts of Karachi in January 2016, when he tried to enter the city.
Rangers also claimed to have rediscovered his weapons.
Later, Baloch was brought before an anti-terrorism court, which returned him to Rangers detention for 90 days.
After this, Baloch was given to Pakistani Army custody under the Pakistan Army Act of 1952.
