All Karachi Tajir Ittehad has refused to comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the Sindh Government in connection with online businesses, ARY News reported on Saturday.
The community of traders and entrepreneurs have claimed that new orders will only benefit 5% of the community and the rest will continue to bear losses.
Tajir Ittehad Karachi also said that the online business SOP was a technical rejection by the Sindh government against our demand to open a business.
Tajir Ittehad chairman at the event said that traders involved in dialogue with the government had been trapped.
Tajir Chairman Ittehad Atiq Mir also said that traders had to fill out and submit nearly 600,000 applications to meet the new SOP for online business which is a giant task itself.
Mir also said that locking restrictions were only in the newspapers because millions of people were out on the streets of Karachi while business continued to suffer.
Earlier in the day, the Sindh government was permitted to continue business activities in the province with strict conditions attached to it during the locking of the coronavirus.
According to a notice issued by the provincial interior ministry, traders must fully implement standard operating procedures designed for the online shutter business.
A previous list of shop owners, staff and deliverers who work in the business must be provided to the provincial government while all preventive materials including gloves, sanitizers are given to them.
