KARACHI: Mahmood Chaudhry, the future fiancee of the sister of PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Bakhtawar, is expected to arrive in Karachi with her family tomorrow, sources told Geo News on Wednesday.
With only two days remaining until Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari’s engagement on Friday, preparations for the joyous event are underway and the staff at the Karachi Bilawal House have been assigned their respective duties.
A catering committee has been set up for the event, with sources saying company staff will also undergo the coronavirus testing process. A team tasked with decorations will complete all work by Thursday evening, they added.
A group of Karachi Bilawal House employees have been selected to entertain the Chaudhry family, sources said, adding that the PPP co-chair and former president, Asif Ali Zardari, are monitoring all arrangements for the event.
The ceremony will be held in the open area of the Karachi Bilawal House, sources confirmed, and guests will be asked to ensure full compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) regarding the coronavirus.
Adjutant Bilawal Bhutto contracted the corona virus
Previously, samples of Bilawal Building staff and security personnel had been taken for their coronavirus tests, the source said, after an assistant chairman of the PPP contracted COVID-19.
Previous sources revealed that according to the new directive, no staff members of Bilawal House Karachi will be allowed to enter unless and until they have undergone a PCR test for the coronavirus. The order came after Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s political secretary, Jameel Soomro, tested positive for the new corona virus.
Talk to Geo News Last night, Soomro confirmed that he had indeed contracted COVID-19. “I took a test after coming back from Gilgit and it came out positive,” he said.
The spokesman for the Bilawal Karachi Building said the PPP boss had also provided samples for his test, whose report is expected tomorrow. Meanwhile, Bilawal Bhutto has been carrying out self-isolation as a precaution, they added.
