PML-N Information Secretary Marriyum Aurangzeb on Friday said that Prime Minister Imran Khan and his accountability adviser Shahzad Akbar have a “low mentality” as they continue to politicize sensitive issues such as health and death.

“Sometimes they politicize health issues and sometimes they politicize someone’s maternal death,” said Aurangzeb. “Their inferior thinking can be judged by the fact that they released Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Sharif from conditional prison six days after their mother’s death, that was also at 4:15 pm.”

Throwing accusations at the prime minister and his aides, Marriyum said PM Imran Khan and Shahzad Akbar “have no humanity or shame left in them,” otherwise they would order the release of Shahbaz and Hamzah on the day of Begum Akhtar’s death so they could. with their loved ones during their time of grief.

He added that Sharif’s family requested parole for 14 days but at PM Imran Khan’s direction, only five days were given.

“Conditional release is Shahbaz and Hamza’s legal and moral right. It is not assistance provided by the government,” he said. “If they were not shameless, small-minded and petty, they would have granted them parole for 14 days,” he stressed.

The Punjab government on Tuesday approved the release of Shahbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz with a five-day parole to attend Begum Shamim’s funeral subject to the arrival of his body in the country from London. The two leaders have been jailed after being accused of money laundering.

Begum Shamim Akhtar, mother of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif, passed away on Sunday, November 22 after a long illness.
