National protest by PDM today: Haideri | Instant News

ISLAMABAD – Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Central Secretary-General and Vice President of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri said that PDM workers will stage a national protest against the government today (Sunday).

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri said workers would hold a protest against the government for its crackdown on them as well as their leadership before the Multan public meeting.

Maulana Haideri also hinted at starting the “Prison-Bharo” movement because the government often arrested PDM leaders for no reason.

Speaking about the upcoming public meeting in Lahore, Maulana Haideri said that the Jalsa Lahore on 13 December would be a clear referendum on the government because it would be a record for the masses against the government.

Criticizing the government, he said the government was using cheap tactics to stop the opposition from protesting against Imran Khan’s failed government policies; said that with the exception of Jalsa Sindh, the PTI government had tried its best to sabotage the PDM’s peaceful protests.

He emphasized that the government is hiding behind Covid19 to cover up their failures because they did nothing even when there was no Covid19 in the country. He admitted that even though there was a road blockade by the government, Jalsa Multan was a record of the community gathering against the PTI government.

Commenting on the December 8 PDM meeting, Abdul Ghafoor said that the upcoming PDM meeting is likely to take some important and difficult decisions.

He concluded that those who support Imran Khan at every opportunity should avoid the support of Imran Khan and should stay away as they fight for the rights of the Pakistani people.
