Coronavirus infection rates drop in Sindh: CM Murad Ali Shah | Instant News

KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah said that 335 new cases of the corona virus had been reported over the past 24 hours, which was 8.15 percent of the 4112 tests conducted in the province. ARY News reports.

In a video statement, the chief minister of Sindh said that the coronavirus infection rate had dropped from 12 percent to 8.15 percent in Sindh. “This is a good sign that the Covid-19 infection rate has decreased in Sindh.”

He said the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Sindh had reached 5,291 while a total of 45,328 tests had been carried out so far, including 4112 carried out over the past 24 hours.

Murad Ali Shah said that 43 new cases of coronavirus were reported from the Karachi Central District, 89 cases in the Southern District, 53 cases in the Eastern District, 24 cases from the Western District, 28 cases in Korangi and 21 cases from the Malir District.

In addition, 7 cases were reported in Sukkur, 17 in Hyderabad and 10 cases in Jacobabad, said Syed Murad Ali Shah.

Seven corona virus related deaths were recorded during this period, bringing the total number of deaths to 92 in 2007 province, he added.

In addition, 4,426 coronavirus patients have been treated including 2915 who have been isolated at home, the chief minister said. At the isolation center 872 patients were treated and 449 were hospitalized, he added.
