PAL plans online literary activities, poetic sessions
Islamabad: In the midst of a physical distance environment due to the threat of coronavirus when there is a cessation of all physical gatherings, Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) has planned to continue its literary activities and equipment through online sessions.
PAL Chair Dr. Yousuf Khushk is determined to continue all events without stopping but the mode of activity is now an online session. He said that the difficult challenges of the epidemic are new ways of thinking that have opened up resources, changed human activities and we must take advantage of the technology available in this environment and stay in touch with one another.
To achieve this goal, PAL has decided to organize online literature and hold various literary meetings and conferences nationally and internationally in online activities. He said that the launch of the ‘Umeed-e-Zeest Award’ online by PAL was also part of online activities during the locked days. The poetry ‘Umeed-e-Zeest’ Award is available on the Pakistani Academy Letter website in Urdu, English, Punjabi, Sindhi, Pashto, Balochi, Seraiki and other Pakistani languages from all over the country and abroad.
