PRCS provides PPE to hospitals in Rawalpindi
Islamabad: Pakistan’s Red Crescent Society on Monday provided personal protective equipment (PPE) to medical staff treating coronavirus patients in a government-run hospital in Rawalpindi, a press release said.
PPE was submitted to the Vice Chancellor of Rawalpindi Medical University, Dr. Muhamad Umar. Speaking on the occasion, PRCS Secretary General Khalid Bin Majeed said that the PRCS in collaboration with government authorities had ensured the protection of health workers and volunteers involved in combating the COVID-19 Plague.
He said the PRCS would also provide masks and PPE to other government hospitals in the coming days. Dr Umar thanked PRCS for providing PPE and expressed his hope that the PRCS will also continue to provide similar support in the future for the protection and safety of health care workers in hospitals.
