ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday spoke with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Microsoft Founder and Co-Chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Bill Gates on the phone and discussed the latest developments regarding the coronavirus virus crisis.
Communication took place in a telephone call made by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
During a telephone conversation, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani discussed the usual Covid-19 situation.
They also consider the situation of grasshoppers in the border area.
The Iranian president congratulated the prime minister on the arrival of the holy month of Ramazan.
On the other hand, PM Imran Khan had a telephone conversation with Microsoft Founder and Co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Bill Gates and discussed the latest developments regarding the coronavirus virus crisis.
During the telephone conversation, the prime minister expressed appreciation for the support given by the Gates Foundation and other international partners during this unprecedented crisis and stressed the continuation of the urgent situation.
Imran Khan stressed that Pakistan faces a double challenge to overcome the pandemic and save people, especially the most vulnerable segments of the population, from hunger because it is locked.
The prime minister underlined that the government has put together a US $ 8 billion package to support affected communities and businesses.
Bill Gates said that COVID-19 is a global threat and praised Pakistan’s efforts in protecting the lives and livelihoods of its people.
