PM Imran Khan has directed to include Qadiyanis in the National Commission for Minorities in non-Muslim quotas.

In addition, the Ministry of Religion has been directed to reform the National Commission for Minorities.

This development took place on Wednesday when PM Imran Khan presided at a meeting of the Federal Cabinet where a summary was presented before him by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

During the meeting, several ministers asked PM Imran Khan to include Qadiyanis in the national commission on Non-Muslim quotas.

PM Imran Khan directed the ministry of religious affairs to renew the national commission and include Qadiyan as a minority in the commission, because Qadiyanis were granted non-Muslim status on September 7, 1974.

The newly reported National Commission for Minorites will consist of 9 official non-Muslim members and 8 non-official Muslim members, led by a non-Muslim.
