KARACHI: A textile factory located here in the area of the city’s industrial site fired 700 employees on Tuesday.
Dismissed employees, including women, elders, and young people, protested against decisions outside the factory while standing close to one another in large numbers.
Speaking to the media, protesting employees said that textile factory owners not only cut their salaries last month without considering the difficulties ahead, but they were also told by management who said that their services were no longer needed. .
They complained of being fired in poor economic conditions, wondering if they would feed their children.
It can be noted here that the Sindh government on Monday announced paid leave for all workers during locking, guaranteeing that it would not be terminated during the locking period.
