ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan claimed on Monday that people who illegally occupy state land enjoy the protection of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Leading a meeting of government spokesmen and party leaders, he argued: “No one can encroach on state land without political protection.” He wonders that the operation to clear state land from encroachment is considered a political move by opposition leaders.
The prime minister directs the government spokesperson to notify the country of anti-encroachment operations.
The current political situation, cases of foreign funding, operations against land grabbers and Broadsheet issues were discussed at the meeting.
The Prime Minister further said those who tried to involve us in the case of foreign funding had become entangled. “Our stance was proven before the General Election Commission,” he added.
He reiterated the government’s determination to ensure a fair and fair investigation into the Broadsheet issue. “We will reveal every character that is detrimental to state finances,” he said.
