KARACHI: Dr Rehan Azmi, world famous poet of grief literature, passed away in Karachi. He is 63 years old.
According to his family, Dr Azmi had been sick for a long time. They said he was rushed to a private hospital in Karachi where he remained in critical condition until he died.
Dr Azmi was born on July 7, 1958 in Karachi. She began writing poetry regularly since 1974 and was associated with PTV for a long time as a singer.
During this time, he wrote more than 4,000 songs, including the popular Pakistani song ‘Eve, Eve, Eve‘sung by Hassan Jahangir and’Khushboo Ban Kay Mehak Raha Hame’.
After some time, Dr Azmi lost touch with songwriting and developed a relationship with praise and greetings and became a literary poet of mourning.

He has more than 25 literary books of mourning to his name. Dr Azmi has also won numerous medals at international and national level for his work.
