Two PIA Special Flights carrying stranded Pakistanis departed from Saudi Arabia | Instant News

JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia: Two PIA Special Flights with 500 Pakistanis stranded on planes departed from Saudi Arabia to Lahore and Islamabad on Friday morning.

Special Flight PIA PK 8710 carrying 250 stranded Pakistanis departed from Jeddah for Lahore at 0230.

Pakistani Consul General in Jeddah Khalid Majid and Deputy Consul General Shaiq Ahmed Bhutto were present at the airport to take them away.

Another flight with 250 passengers departed for Islamabad from Riyadh.

More than 13,000 Pakistanis, most with short and final visas, are currently trapped in Saudi Arabia due to the cancellation of international flights after the Coronavirus outbreak.

The Pakistani government arranges special flights for their return to Pakistan.
