KARACHI: Sindh Rangers found 1,000 kilograms of sap during a raid in a factory from the Golimar area in Karachi, reported on Sunday.

Two people accused of Amjad Hussain Machati and Sajid Ahmed were arrested and materials and tools used to make dangerous health gutka were found.

According to the details, the arrested suspects were members of the Lyari gang war. The defendant has long been involved in making and selling large-scale unhealthy gutka. During the initial investigation, the defendants revealed that they also paid millions of rupees every month to Sajid alias Golimar and Agha Zikri, key leaders of the Lyari gang war, to protect their illegal business.

The Gutka supply network of the defendants is spread throughout Karachi. A thousand kilograms of unhealthy blisters, packing material, unhealthy goods and equipment used to make sap also recovered from the accused’s possession. Weapons and ammunition have also been found from the suspects, who use them to protect their illegal business.

The two criminals have been turned over to Police authorities for legal action.
