Karachi is approaching 6000 cases of the corona virus, the region with the worst impacts in the country | Instant News


The Sindh Ministry of Health released Monday daily coronavirus statistics that confirmed 5,943 cases in the metropolitan city of Karachi, ARY News reported.

Total cases in Sindh have gone up to 7,828 with 371 cases of coronavirus reported in the past 24 hours.

A total of 124 people have so far succumbed to pathogens in the big city of Karachi, while the number of provincial deaths is currently 137.

So far 1,629 corona virus patients have been cured since the first infection was reported in the country.

Yesterday, Karachi Transport Ittehad (KTI) demanded that the Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah allow them to carry buses on the streets bearing in mind the Sindh government extended the locking up of the coronavirus.

In a letter written by KTI President Irshad Bokhari, he asked the chief minister to continue transportation activities in the province.

“Poor transporters go through the worst financial crisis,” he said adding they could not survive further plans of lockdowns.
