LAHORE: Prime Minister Imran Khan will lay the foundation stone of a scheme of 4,000 apartments to be built under Phase-I of Pakistan’s LDA City Naya Housing Project on March 12.
The PM’s office has also confirmed the prime minister’s arrival in Lahore to the Punjab government as well as the Lahore Development Authority (LDA).
“At our request, the PM has expressed his willingness to lay the foundation stone [of the project] for the construction of 4,000 apartments, ”said Deputy Chairman of LDA SM Imran in a press release in Jakarta, Wednesday.
As the foundation stone laying ceremony will be held at Mauza Halloki, near the Ring Road, LDA has started preparations in this regard.
Apart from building a road to the venue, two helipads will also be built for the landing of the PM helicopter there.
The process of accepting applications for this apartment allotment will begin after the ceremony.
“The recipients will start paying the installments as soon as they own the apartment,” said Imran.
