ISLAMABAD: A National Coordinating Committee (NCC) meeting will be held in Islamabad on Thursday to take a final decision on easing lockdown restrictions in the country, ARY News reported.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair a National Coordinating Committee (NCC) meeting.
The meeting will be attended by key ministers from all provinces where a consensus will be developed to reduce the locking of coronavirus in all countries.
The federal cabinet has decided to make it easier to lock restrictions during Tuesday’s meeting.
Previously on May 4, the Minister of Planning, Development and Reform Asad Umar said the National Coordinating Committee (NCC) about Coronavirus will decide on a locking program in the future after analysis and observations will be presented by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC).
“More decisions will be made regarding locking after May 9. Our resources to run the health care system are inadequate while large reductions are also recorded in the education budget. On the other hand, the unemployment rate is increasing day by day, negatively impacting the national economy.
Umar said that economists estimate 18 million people are unemployed in the current scenario amid the coronavirus crisis. The unemployment rate is directly related to the lock duration, he added.
“At NCOC, we make decisions considering the impact on human life but not just focusing on health care settings.” NC
