Prime Minister’s Special Assistant for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Wednesday that instead of politicizing reports on flour and sugar crises, the opposition must respect Prime Minister Imran Khan for giving an example of self-accountability in political history.
In a series of tweets, SAPM said that the opposition was responsible for his own behavior when in power.
Their history is full of conflicts of interest because the state does not forget when the child subsidizes his father, the uncle gives subsidies to his nephew and a President benefits Anwar Majeed through subsidies.
He said that the Pakistan Competition Commission was held hostage in the hands of former rulers because it was led by people who protected the interests of the rulers at the time.
At that time, he said only six families controlled more than 50 percent of sugar production.
In the past, certain people were allowed to make money at the expense of the people, but this would never have been allowed in Naya Pakistan.
Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had proved by his actions that nothing was above the law.
He said that neither Imran Khan nor his family members owned a sugar factory.
The PM’s decision to publish the report was a manifestation that protecting the interests of the people of Pakistan was his priority, not the interests of some individuals.
He said that Imran Khan would not let anyone damage the public interest.
