Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Adviser on Finances and Revenue Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh on Tuesday expressed hope that the Ministry of Maritime Affairs will be able to fulfill all its requirements with budget allocations for the coming fiscal year 2020-21

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – May 12, 2020): Counsel for Prime Minister Imran Khan about Finance and Revenue Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh on Tuesday expressed hope that the Maritime Ministry would be able to fulfill all the requirements with the budget allocation for the coming 2020-2021 fiscal year.

“The ministry will be able to fulfill all requirements in the Budget Indicative Ceiling which have been allocated for the 2020-2021 fiscal year, “the adviser said in a meeting with the Minister of Maritime Affairs, Syed Ali Haider Zaidi, who called him here.

Hafeez Shaikh assured the minister of his full support for service projects, according to a press statement issued by the Ministry of Finance.

Previously, Zaidi had discussed with advisers about the Ministry’s financial requirements for various ongoing projects that needed financial assistance in the following financial year.

He also discussed the financial requirements of the Ministry to fight for the Election Council for the International Maritime Organization (IMO) for the period 2022-2023, elections will be held in December 2021.

The Minister said that the financial implications of the process had been prepared in consultation with the Indonesian High Commission Pakistan, London, English and submitted to the Finance Division.
