Target homicide incident: SP among 8 police suspended in Swat
By MINGORA: Noting the increasing number of target killing incidents in Swat district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Inspector General, Sanaullah Abbasi on Wednesday suspended police monitors, three deputy police chiefs, and four post office officers and directed them to report to the Central Police Station, Peshawar.
According to directives issued by top police, suspended officials include the Upper Swat SP, Bakhtzada, DSP Matta, Shaukat Ali, DSP Kabal, Akbar Shinwari and DSP Khwazakhela, Habibullah.
The four suspended office home officers are Aleem Khan from the Matta Police Station, Gulshed from the Kanju Police Station, Bakhtullah from the Charbagh Police Station and Rahim Khan from the Kabal Police Station.
Farman Khan, SP (Investigation) posted as SP Swat Atas to replace SP Bakhtzada out.
Deferred officials are directed to report to the Central Police Station, Peshawar, immediately.
Other newly appointed members included Ayaz Khan as SHO Matta, Aziz Khan SHO Charbagh, Mujeeb Alam SHO Kanju and Naseer Ahmad as SHO Kabal. It is known that frequent incidents of personality target killings, including lawyers, doctors, and political and human rights activists throughout the Swat district, particularly in Matta tehsil, encourage the IGP to take action and change police officers in an effort to control the situation.
