Facial masks will now be needed in all public places

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) The federal government has obliged to wear masks in public places given the coronavirus pandemic.

Special Assistant for Health Dr. Zafar Mirza told about this decision in a media lecture chaired by the Prime Minister who said that it was now necessary to wear a mask in public places and notice would be issued in this regard and compliance would be tightened

Zafar Mirza also said that one hundred thousand health workers, including doctors, nurses and paramedics would be trained to use Personal Protection Equipment properly. He said the first phase of the training would be completed in four weeks.

He said five thousand other intensive care unit workers would be trained to deal with corona patients.

He said it was a great achievement for the country that Pakistani pharmaceutical companies had completed voluntary licensing agreements with US pharmaceutical company Gilead for the manufacture and sale of Remdesivir.

He said the agreement also allowed Pakistan to export medicine to 127 countries facing the corona pandemic.
