Islamabad: Pakistan on Monday (May 18) summoned a senior diplomat from the Indian High Commission here and registered his protest over alleged violations of the ceasefire by Indian forces along the Control Line.

The Foreign Office claimed that “indiscriminate and indiscriminate shooting” by Indian troops on Sunday in the Khuiratta Sector resulted in serious injury to a 37-year-old civilian.

Indian security forces “with the LoC and Working Boundary (WB) have continuously targeted civilian areas with artillery fire, heavy caliber mortars and automatic weapons,” alleged FO.

In 2020, India has so far committed 1,081 ceasefire violations, he said.

It is said that the Indian side was called to honor the 2003 Armistice Definition; investigate this and other incidents of truce violations and maintain peace throughout the LoC and the World Bank.
