KARACHI: In a real reaction to the direction of Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed on Monday that shopping centers across the country were reopened, chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari expressed his hope that the high court would provide an “factual and medical assessment” of reality “. Tehreek-i-Insaf Pakistan, on the other hand, welcomed the decision, demanding that the Sindh government allow business at all times in the last days of Ramazan and continue banned public transportation services until the Eid holiday.
When expressing his views on social media, Bilawal did not mention his statement as a reaction or comment on the SC decision, but rather what he thought about the challenges posed by the coronavirus virus.
“Hoping that sanity prevails in the highest court on our land,” Bhutto-Zardari tweeted. “I do not want to believe that the higher judiciary will issue any decisions that endanger the health & life of the people of Pakistan. I am sure that all respected judges will give judgments based on facts & medical reality. IA (God willing). “
PTI welcomed the decision
Thanking SC for allowing malls to continue business and lifting restrictions on major commercial centers, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf demanded that the Sindh government allow business at all times in the last days of Ramazan and allow public transportation services, banned until holidays Eid al-Fitr, resume.
Senior party leaders in Sindh strongly criticized the PPP government in Sindh for not allowing business even days before the Eid celebration. They also expressed doubts and objections to actions taken by the provincial government on behalf of “standard operating procedures”.
“We fight for the rights of the people,” said Karachi PTI president and Sindh Assembly member Khurram Sher Zaman while speaking at a press conference at the party’s office called Insaf House.
“Our goal is to provide assistance to people. We are very grateful to the Chief Justice of the Pakistani Court for the notification of his suo motu which led to the opening of markets and malls. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab governments have reopened the mall. We demand here at Sindh that the market must remain open for 24 hours until the last night of Ramazan. Public transportation must be opened under SOP. “
Flanked by Opposition Leader at the Sindh Firdous Assembly Shamim Naqvi, PTI parliamentary leader Haleem Adil Sheikh and other party colleagues, he questioned the credibility and qualifications of the chief minister’s advisers who devised strategies for the daily life of the people in Sindh.
“My question is whether the threat of coronavirus appears after 5 pm? Does it only threaten the traders? “He said the closure of the gas station after a certain time was also beyond his comprehension.
