The police registered a case against a tobacco company | Instant News


ISLAMABAD – Police in Lahore on Thursday filed a case against a cigarette manufacturing company involved in the illegal production of cigarettes on the market and playing chaos with the health of people by supplying substandard and dangerous products.

According to the details, a registered FIR is seeking action by the Islampura police station in Lahore for copyright infringement and other related legal provisions.

The report calls for action against the owner of the Indus Tobacco Company, Mardan for producing fake copies of the cigarette brand – Kisan King Size.

FIR alleges that Saleem Printing Press is printing fake labels while the tobacco companies mentioned above are involved in the production and supply of fake cigarettes on the market.

The fake industry has damaged the reputation of National Tobacco Company Limited, whose all brands including registered Kisan King Size cigarettes. The company conducts business under land laws which make valuable contributions to the country’s economy.

On the other hand, the illegal tobacco trade not only disrupts the health of millions of people, but is also one of the reasons for suboptimal revenue collection and pressure on the local tobacco industry.
