Mike Pompeo appreciates Pakistan’s good contribution to surgical masks and protective clothing.

WASHINGTON (Dunya News) – A Pakistani Air Force C-130 aircraft carrying personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by the Pakistani armed forces to the US armed forces reached at the Andrews Air Base in Washington DC on Thursday, Dunya News reported.

PPE including surgical masks and protective clothing was received by Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Indo-Pacific Security Affairs, David Halloway.

Pakistani Ambassador to the United States Asad Majeed Khan and other Pakistani embassy staff were also present at the airport.

While appreciating Pakistan’s goodwill contribution to surgical masks and protective clothing, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tweeted saying that “This shipment is a symbol of US-Pakistan solidarity in the war against COVID-19. #WeAreInThisTogether # Partners4Prosperity. “

Responding to Mike Pompeo’s appreciation, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Asad Majeed Khan said that Pakistan and the United States always work together to promote common interests and face shared challenges.
