ISLAMABAD, May 24 (APP): Chair of Kashmir Parliamentary Committee Shehryar Khan Afridi, on Sunday, called on the United Nations and developed countries to impose economic and military sanctions in India for the slaughter of Kashmiris and minorities for imposing black law on the Public Safety Act (PSA).
“It is time for the United Nations and developed countries to impose economic and military sanctions on India for the genocide of Kashmiri and minorities and to impose PSA black law,” Shehryar Khan Afridi expressed this view during his visit to the Chakoti Sector in the Control Line (LOC) ) on the day of Eid. He also spent time with troops stationed at the front post, the news release said.
The general officer who led Major General Amir Ahsan Nawaz briefed Shehryar Khan on the occasion.
Speaking to the troops, Shehryar Khan Afridi said, “Kashmir lives in the hearts of every Pakistani person.”
He said Prime Minister Imran Khan had emerged as a dynamic diplomat in Kashmir around the world by becoming a true ambassador to the people of Kashmir.
Imran Khan, he said, has presented the Kashmir problem with a new dimension because the world now highlights the Kashmir problem.
He said the Pakistani government and its people had worked side by side to free Kashmir from Indian domination.
He said that at the direction of Prime Minister Imran Khan, he had come to celebrate Eid al-Fitr as Chairman of the Kashmir Committee in Azad Kashmir to show solidarity with the soldiers who had sacrificed to protect the homeland in the outposts.
Afridi welcomed Eid al-Fitr to all the families of the martyrs in Jammu, Sirinagar, South Kashmir, North Kashmir, and Azad Kashmir.
He gave Eid al-Fitr to every family whose house or property was destroyed in a bombing by Indian troops.
He said he stood with every family whose children or teenagers suffered from pellet guns.
The chairman said because of the effective strategy of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the world is now raising its voice in Kashmir.
Referring to the latest report of the US Congressional Commission on Human Rights and Religious Freedom, Shehryar Khan said that it was time for the United Nations and developed countries to stop the genocide of Kashmiri people and minorities in India.
He called on international bodies to impose economic and military sanctions on India in response to the PSA law followed by the fascist Modi government.
