More than Rs112 billion was distributed among those in need in the emergency money program

ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Dr. Sania Nishtar said that Monday was the last date to submit an application on the Ehsaas Labor Portal.
He made the announcement in a tweet on Saturday.
The Ehsaas Labor Portal was launched by Prime Minister Imran Khan to provide financial assistance of twelve thousand rupees to those unemployed due to the lockdown imposed after the Covid-19 outbreak. Funds for this purpose will be provided from PM’s Covid Relief Fund.
Meanwhile, under the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program, more than Rs 110 billion was distributed among 9.2 million people. According to the government’s Poverty and Social Safety Division, distribution of aid money under an initiative launched to provide financial assistance to the working class and daily wage recipients is in full swing.
According to the dashboard statistics formed by the division, under the Ehsaas Cash program, more than Rs112billion has been distributed to help those in need so far.
Of the amount distributed under the program, Rs55.25 billion has been awarded to 44, 78,766 recipients under the category one program, Rs38.18 billion to 31.81,724 recipients under category two and Rs18.72 billion to 1,560,253 recipients under category three has been distributed.
It should be noted that under the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program, a total of Rs 144 billion will be distributed among 1,200 million beneficiaries.
