PESHAWAR: Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has provided other safety equipment shipments to 49 hospitals in the province to equip doctors and paramedics who are fighting the coronavirus pandemic.
According to the details, 22,680 KN-95, 1,323 N-95 masks, 1,470 D-95 masks along with 52,500 surgical face masks were provided along with 20400 pairs of gloves, 30519 protective clothing, personal protective equipment 1975 (PPE), 2,100 dresses, 2940 goggles safety, 7,918 shoe covers, 1995 caps, 4,200 face shields, 8,400 latex gloves, 103 liters of sanitizer, 1,900 small bottles of sanitizer and other safety equipment provided for this hospital.
PDMA Director General Parwaiz Khan said, “We have sent safety equipment to the hospital in accordance with NDMA guidelines.” He added that the provincial government provided all possible support to the masses and related departments when needed. PDMA provides safety equipment for all departments, including the Ministry of Health, hospitals and district administrations for quarantine centers to support them against the corona virus in the province, the official said. He added that around 65 different types of goods were distributed by PDMA. among related departments.
