He died late Sunday night after prolonged illness. He was awarded best photographer awards by various national magazines including Photoline for his photo “Cross the River”. A gold a medal was also given to him in recognition of his work by the former governor the province.
MD Tourism, Junaid Khan in a message of condolence, paying tribute to the late photographer service said, “Gulshan Aziz, a Peshawar Based photographers took several iconic images that we used at Tourism Corporation, KP tourism publications, brochures, calendars, postcards and posters from 1990s and beyond. “Photos of LRH, Shandur, Mallam Jabba, St. Michael’s Church, Khyber Steam Rail, Raj Kapoor Home etc. became icons of visual tourism, he added.
