ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan received a phone call from Turkish President Erdogan on Monday with the two exchanging greetings and best wishes for Eid.

The Turkish President also expressed his condolences to Imran Khan for the tragic Karachi plane crash and assured all possible assistance from the Turkish people in this difficult time.

Prime Minister Imran Khan told the Turkish President about the actions Pakistan took on the corona virus and thanked President Erdogan for providing medical equipment. He said that this assistance during difficult times was a reflection of the historical ties between the two countries. The two leaders also agreed to increase cooperation against the corona virus.

Prime Minister Imran Khan spoke about Turkey’s role in reducing international debt in relation to the coronavirus situation, and discussed other economic issues. He said a comprehensive and workable plan was needed for stability and debt reduction.

The Prime Minister also informed the Turkish President of India’s actions against Muslims under the supervision of a coronavirus and said that the international community must reject India’s fascist policies.

Prime Minister Imran Khan also gave a briefing to the President of Turkey about human rights violations in Indian-occupied Kashmir and the inhumane treatment of the Muslim population who said that Kashmiris faced two lockouts in the occupied valley.
