ISLAMABAD: Former president Asif Ali Zardari said that people were fed up with the government because of rising prices and the deteriorating economic situation of the country and wanted to get rid of those who failed to deliver.
He spoke with PPP Secretary General Syed Nayyar Hussain Bokhari who contacted him to ask questions afterwards on Wednesday.
Zardari told Bokhari that his health was now better and better and he thanked party workers, leaders and the nation who prayed for his health. Zardari, when speaking with Bokhari, said the Imran Khan government had completely failed to deal with situations arising from coronaviruses and that no plans were seen to combat the situation.
While expressing his concern for the continuing price increase and the country’s economic situation, he said the government had completely failed in the economic field and the people of Pakistan now wanted to get rid of this incapable government. Zardari said from day one he expressed concern about locust attacks which caused crop losses throughout Pakistan, but the federal government ignored him. “It condemns the act of not responding to the sensitive problems of locust attacks,” he added.
