LAHORE: Eight doctors at the Lahore hospital Shaikh Zayed tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday, creating great concern among medical staff opposing the frontline pandemic.
SZMCH sources told the correspondent that Dr Mahboob Gillani from the Hospital Service had also been diagnosed with coronavirus.
According to statistics provided by the official government website regarding the coronavirus situation in Pakistan, Pakistan surpassed the previous COVID-19 record number of cases reported for more than 24 hours, 2,636, on May 28.
Pakistan has reported a record number of deaths from the corona virus in one day when 88 new deaths occurred across the country on May 30. A day earlier, Pakistan had recorded the highest number of COVID-19 deaths in the past 24 hours when 78 people died from the virus.
The country has so far reported more than 69,400 COVID-19 cases with doctors and health experts warning that the number of corona virus cases will continue to increase unless there is no strict locking.
