Pakistan’s fuel prices are lowest in South Asia | Instant News

Prime Minister Minster Imran Khan on Monday said that a further decline in petroleum products had been approved by the Government of Pakistan making Pakistan the lowest fuel price in South Asia.

Imran Khan said that Pakistan had reduced gasoline, diesel oil and kerosene prices.

It is important to note that the revised price will remain in effect until 30 June.
“Now we have the cheapest fuel costs compared to other countries in South Asia. India is almost exactly double that.

Bangladesh, Sri Lanka & Nepal are all 50 to 75 percent more expensive than us. “India offers fuel to its citizens almost at the double price Pakistan now provides for its citizens,” the prime minister said.

The steps to reduce the price of POL were announced by the finance ministry. It said that the ministry announced the decision after consulting with representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to provide assistance to citizens who were urgently needed after the collapse of international oil prices.

Price reductions will provide a sign of relief among consumers who are already experiencing financial difficulties and are badly affected by the limitation of locking new coronaviruses.
