PESHAWAR: The Anti-Narcotics Pressure (ANF) and Airport Safety Pressure (ASF), in a joint operation, on Monday foiled a drug smuggling bid and arrested a passenger at Bacha Khan Worldwide Airport, Peshawar, ARY Information reported.
The safety groups collared a passenger from Doha-bound flight and seized 1300 gram medicine. The person, recognized as Muhamamd Mannan, was detained shortly after medicine have been discovered from his possession.
The passenger had hid medicine in a Ludo board sport and his footwear.
The ANF and ASF carried out a raid on a tip-off. Sources knowledgeable that the detained passenger belongs to Hangu.

In the same incident on Jan 31, a person was caught on the Bacha Khan Worldwide Airport, attempting to smuggle medicine hidden in fruits.
In keeping with Airport Safety Pressure, the person had hidden medicine inside oranges and pomegranates and needed to smuggle them to Qatar. He was resulting from board a flight, however was caught throughout screening of his items. The passenger had hidden charas weighing greater than 4 kilograms contained in the fruits.
