Prime Minister Imran Khan has appointed Defence Minister Pervez Khattak head of a committee to analyze claims of rigging within the Basic Elections 2018.
On September 27, the joint opposition despatched a listing of 10 names to the federal government to be included within the committee. It included Khursheed Shah, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Naveed Qamar and Ahsan Iqbal from the PPP, Rana Sanaullah, Rana Tanveer and Murtaza Javed Abbasi from the PML-N, Sardar Akhtar Mengal from the BNP and one consultant every from the JUI-F and MQM.
Based on the PPP’s Shah, the opposition and authorities may have 10 members every on the committee.
The opposition has been protesting in opposition to the elections ever because the ballots have been solid. The PTI authorities had agreed to arrange a committee to analyze the claims of rigging in elections.
