PM Imran directs PIA to devise comprehensive business plan to cut losses

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday directed the Pakistan Worldwide Airways (PIA) chairman to plan a complete marketing strategy to beat losses.   

Chairing a high-level assembly on reforms in PIA, the prime minister mentioned that the federal government wished to make nationwide flag provider a profit-generating and impartial airline.

PIA officers knowledgeable the prime minister that the full losses of PIA are Rs. 414.3bn. They advised the assembly that PIA is dealing with a deficit of 500 million rupees on seven worldwide routes along with loss on home routes.
