PTA Raids Unlawful Gateway Exchanges in Islamabad

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), in its ongoing efforts in curbing the menace of unlawful grey trafficking, has carried out a profitable raid on unlawful VoIP setup at Arsalan Plaza Pakistan City, Islamabad on 11th July 2019 together with Federal Investigation Company (FIA) and Intelligence Bureau (IB).

Based on the main points, the raiding staff confiscated ten operational unlawful gateways and roughly 130 lively SIMs together with different allied gear together with routers, modems and laptops and so on. No arrest was made because the system was put in in a vacant flat. FIA seized all of the gear and additional interrogation is underway.

The profitable raid in opposition to the grey operators was made doable due to steady monitoring, dedication and protracted efforts by PTA in curbing the menace off gray visitors thus curbing the loss to nationwide exchequer resulting from these unlawful gray traffickers.
