Railways back on track, generating revenue: Rashid present progress report

ISLAMABAD: Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Thursday stated that his ministry is all set to satisfy the 100-day agenda forward of the deadline. 

Addressing a press convention, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed stated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) authorities will fulfill all the guarantees made within the 100-day plan.

Whereas detailing the progress made by the railways throughout his tenure, the minister stated eight out of the 10  promised new trains have been launched forward of the deadline and had introduced 10,000 jobs within the PR.

The minister stated that PR will launch a brand new monitoring system within the locomotives to observe the utilization of gas. He stated they’re introducing pre-paid electrical energy meters to be put in at residences of 77,000 staff of the railways to cut back the spending.

Rasheed stated many of the targets introduced within the agenda has been achieved. “PR’s commerce deficit is over and now railways producing revenue,” stated the minister. He accused former Minister Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique of destroying the division.
