Rangers arrest murder suspect in Karachi

KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Friday nabbed a suspect alleged to be concerned in a homicide throughout operation in Karachi, ARY Information reported.

The spokesperson of the paramilitary power stated 4 armed individuals had killed Siddiq in Kalakot, Lyari, on April 29. Following the incident, a particular investigation group was constituted, he stated.

The Rangers spokesman stated the suspect, Mairaj, was arrested for involvement within the homicide on floor of technical proof and intelligence. He stated Mairaj had admitted to killing Siddiq alias Rocket Bhai on order of Lyari Gangwar member Asif Dhobi.

The suspect has been handed over to police alongside weapons for authorized proceedings, he stated.

Dozens have been taken into custody in a joint operation of Sindh Rangers and the police from varied areas of Karachi on Friday.

As per particulars, the arrests have been made throughout search operations in Soldier Bazar, Nishtar Park, Shahra-e-Noor Jehan, Malir and Korangi areas of the metropolis.

As many as 57 suspects have been arrested through the operations and have been later shifted to the police stations. The document of the suspects is being checked; who will likely be discovered harmless can be launched.

A drug-peddler was apprehended by the LEAs from Malir, who was concerned in promoting cannabis and the heroin within the space, whereas his two accomplices managed to flee away.

The operations have been carried out within the wake of Youm-e-Ali.
