KARACHI: A 24-year-old worker at a restaurant was injured after being shot at by reported extortionists in Kharadar area of the provincial capital on Monday morning.
The alleged extortionists had thrown a bit of paper contained in the restaurant premises, demanding Rs 1 million. In keeping with police the worker was injured after he refused to pay.
“The paper has a world quantity listed on it and it seems that the staffer was shot after he refused to pay extortion cash,” mentioned police officers.
Sindh Inspector Common Kaleem Imam has summoned a report over the incident.
Police have registered a case over the matter and investigations are at present underway.
