The Blues boss believes still more to come from his American star after another strong performance

Frank Lampard was full of praise for the Christian Pulisic after Chelsea cruised to a 3-0 victory over Watford to regain fourth place in the Premier League.

With the signing of a major contract Pulisic took his game to another level since the season resumed last month and caused the Hornets all sorts of problems at Stamford bridge.

Goals from Olivier Giroud, Willian and Ross Barkley, moved the Blues back into the top four after “Manchester United” briefly bypassed them with a frantic 5-2 Bournemouth earlier on Saturday.

Lampard is not fond of comparing Pulisic former Chelsea forward danger, but delighted with the progress the United States makes international after overcoming the injury problems that marred his early campaign.

Asked Sky Sports about Pulisic and its similarity with hazard, Lampard said: “They both can go and the players are great to watch. Eden made it here and was sensational.

“I don’t want to quite get that comparison, but at this stage I don’t want to take anything away from Christian. What it shows is just a natural ability, balance, speed, dribble with the ball.

“The next step for him-a better end product, more goals, more assists. But after reboot, he has already shown that it’s great.

“He had problems because of injuries this season, but he’s good, really good. I’m very happy with him.”

Pulisic he feared comparisons in danger after the game, stressing that he’s just trying to be his own player.

Lampard was impressed with how his players reacted to a 3-2 London Derby in “West ham” in the middle of the week.

“We must recognize that the pressure. Before West ham we could have the third and we let ourselves down,” said former Derby County boss.

“Today was a bit of pressure to get back to fourth and we produced. We need to get used to this pressure as it looks, because it’s going to be tough all the way through”.
