Shoaib Akhtar said the ICC had ‘thrown neutrality out of the window’ after being controlled by the top body- Firstcricket News, Firstpost | Instant News

Karachi: Flamboyant Shoaib Akhtar accused the International Cricket Board of “throwing neutrality out of the window” after being controlled by the top body for claiming that he could, even now, fire Steve Australia’s running machine quickly.

The ICC used a series of images featuring basketball star Michael Jordan to control Akhtar after he claimed he could expel Smith in the fourth shipment after three guards were “injured”.

In the first picture of the ICC, Jordan sees something. In the next picture, it is revealed as Akhtar’s tweet, and the third shows the legendary basketball player laughing.

Akhtar, 44, tweeted on Wednesday that he was not entertained by the ICC response.

“A symbolic tweet, how the ICC has thrown neutrality out the window. Basically this is how things happened there,” Akhtar tweeted.

One of the fastest bowlers this game has ever seen, Akhtar posted an old video of himself and write it: “Dear @icc, find a new meme or emoji. Sorry, I can’t find it, just find some original videos.”

Previously, Akhtar had been taken to social media to respond to the poll ESPNCricinfo who pitted some of the best in business from previous eras with bowlers and batsmen from modern times.

Responding to the post that pitted Akhtar against Smith, the Pakistani said, “Even today, 3 guards were injured and I can ignore @ stevesmith49 on the 4th ball. Lol.”

Cricket players have been trapped in several controversies since retiring from the game.

Akhtar represented Pakistan in 46 Tests, 163 ODI, and 15 International T20s while each took 178 wickets, 247 wickets and 19 wickets in each format.

The former pioneer, who had received notice of defamation by Pakistan Cricket Council’s legal counsel, Tafazzul Rizvi, told the media that his lawyer had sent a reply to the notice.

“He has rejected Rizvi’s notice and its contents. As I said, I will fight this case to the end because I did nothing wrong by highlighting weak areas in PCB work.”
