Oklahoma landed number 1 WR Mario Williams | Instant News

ESPN 300 wide receiver Mario Williams announce his commitment to Oklahoma on Friday. Overall, ranked 16th recruited Williams to choose Sooners over Alabama, Florida, Georgia and LSU.

Williams is a 5-foot-10, 165-pound recipient from Plant City High School in Florida. He is the recipient of No. 1 in the class and the second ESPN 300 recipient who committed to Oklahoma in this cycle, joined Cody Jackson, a 6 foot recruitment, 175 pounds from Richmond, Texas.

Adding Williams to class 2021 gave Sooners another big play option, fast recipients who have the talent to make things happen. Over the past two seasons, Williams has received 1,745 yards and 23 goals for his high school team.

Williams will eventually join the list with many choices in his position. Coach Lincoln Riley and his staff added ESPN 300 recipients Marvin Mims in the 2020 cycle. By 2019, Oklahoma can sign the top ranking recipient, Jadon Haselwood, recipient No. 3-rank, Theo Wease, and recipient No. 22, Trejan Bridges.

This violation is in good condition for the future in Oklahoma. The Sooners sign Spencer Rattler, the top ranked double threat quarterback in 2019, and ESPN 300 quarterback Chandler Morris by 2020. Oklahoma is also in the top group for the top ranked double threat quarterback in the 2021 cycle, Caleb Williams, which also registered Maryland and LSU as other top schools.
