Following the actions of Belgium and Germany at the weekend, Switzerland has once again placed the grand duchy on the list of countries at risk.
Anyone, including children, arriving in Switzerland from Luxembourg must now go to their home or accommodation immediately and report their arrival to regional authorities within two days. They must then stay in a house or other suitable accommodation without leaving for 10 days after arriving in Switzerland.
Those in quarantine should also avoid contact with other people and follow other quarantine instructions. The Swiss federal public health office said a negative test result makes no exemption from mandatory quarantine requirements “because a negative test result does not rule out infection with the new coronavirus.”
Belgium, Denmark and the UK are among other countries and regions that have been added to Switzerland’s list of high risk of infection.
