Teachers, students and parents have had to adapt quickly to homeschooling since the government announced the closure of schools in mid-March.

The government suggested they close until April 19, but some cantons extended the deadline until the end of April. Around one million young people have been affected.

Every school needs to provide age-appropriate solutions to provide distance learning content for their students and that is a challenge for teachers and students.

Swiss Public Television, SRF, asked 13-year-old Caroline Keller from Wittenbach in the canton of St. Gallen how she faced distance learning. He said, “Initially it was very difficult, because you can’t find things easily. But everything is slowly getting better. And now it’s also much more fun.”
