Sixteen new cases of new coronavirus infection were reported on Thursday, arrivals under quarantine from seven countries, raising the total to 3,942.
The new cases come from Kuwait, Qatar, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and the United States.
Nine of the cases were returning refugees aged 33-51 who arrived from Kuwait via Qatar and Singapore last Friday. Eight are women.
The nine people tested positive 3-4 days after arrival. Six of them asymptomatic and in the remainder fever, headache, sore throat and excessive phlegm, cough and fatigue. They are quarantined and treated in Chon Buri province.
Two of the cases were from Kuwait. One of them is a 23 year old Kuwaiti teacher. The other is a Thai man, a 44 year old farmer.
The other five cases were from Qatar, Sweden, Switzerland, UAE and the US. Only men from Switzerland showed symptoms disease. Most of them are quarantined and treated at Chon Buri.
Of a total of 3,942 cases, 3,788 (96%) have recovered including, eight were discharged over the past 24 hours, and 94 were in hospital, the CCSA said. That Death toll standing unchanged at 60.
