When corona virus, many TV shows cannot generate new episodes due to social distance and locking actions. Even daily soap operas, including fan favorites Young and Restless and Bold and the Beautiful, is facing interference.
Luckily, the CBS network, which airs both these soaps in the U.S., has found a way to do it calm the audience who is thirsty for new material. (Y&R airs on Global TV in Canada.) For the second week in a row – starting Monday, May 3 – the two soaps will air additional classic episodes, each with a special “theme” for a week.
Young and Restless is doing the theme “Victor and Nikki: A Lifetime of Love”, focusing on the most iconic couple on the show, Victor and Nikki Newman. There will be episodes since 1981.
Bold and the Beautiful will feature “Epic Weddings Week,” with a ceremony since 1991.
The storyline for the episode “Victor and Nikki” is as follows:
On Monday, May 4, Nikki visited Newman Ranch for the first time when Victor tested their chemistry with help from Colonel Douglas Austin (Michael Evans). The episode originally aired October 31, 1981.
On Tuesday, May 5, Nikki dreamed of reuniting with Victor after Ashley (Eileen Davidson) was absent, and Phillip (Thom Bierdz) made plans for the future with Cricket (Lauralee Bell). The episode originally aired August 17, 1987.
Then on Wednesday, May 6, Nikki took the main stage in the Colonnade Room, Drucilla (Victoria Rowell) found herself in trouble, and Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) distracted Scott (Peter Barton) from Lauren (Tracey Bregman). The episode originally aired June 2, 1990.
On Thursday, May 7, Victor and Nikki could not deny their interest, the marriage of Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) was on a rock, and Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) interfered in Jill (Jess Walton) relationship with Keith Dennison (Granville) Van Dusen). The episode originally aired April 14, 1998.

Finally, on Friday, May 8, Victor and Nikki remarried in the iconic Colonnade Room while Ashley struggled with a secret. The episode originally aired September 5, 2002.
Y&R has been the No.1 daytime drama on TV for the past 31 years, so there is plenty of material to revisit for tried-and-true fans.
For B&B, expect some big hair and a swollen dress when the soap opera walks back down the aisle.
On Monday, May 4, Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) tried desperately to escape Prince Omar (Kabir Bedi) to let Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) know that he was still alive, while Ridge and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) had their first epic wedding in front of friends – and enemies – on a beautiful beach in Point Dume, California. This episode originally aired September 30, 1994.
On Tuesday, May 5, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Liam (Scott Clifton) were married in front of the iconic Opera House in the majestic port of Sydney, Australia. While the ceremony takes place in front of family and friends, Wyatt (Darin Brooks) alleviates his sadness over the marriage of his brother with his ex-wife with a few drinks. On Wednesday, May 6, Katie (Heather Tom), the only woman who ever stole the heart of Dollar Bill (Don Diamont), walked down the aisle to become Mrs. William Spencer Jr., with his sister by his side, in the San Fernando Valley House where he grew up. Legendary CBS star Patrick Duffy (Dallas) guest stars as Katie’s father, Stephen Logan. The episode originally aired November 13, 2009.
On Thursday, May 7, Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Brooke Logan said “I do” as Eric’s ex-wife, Stephanie (Susan Flannery), and Brooke’s true love, Ridge, watched without objection. Eric then takes Brooke on a romantic and surprising honeymoon in a fabulous hot air balloon in Palm Springs, California. This episode originally aired January 8, 1991.
Wrapped on Friday, May 8: After overcoming astonishing obstacles, Hope (Kim Matula, in the role currently played by Annika Noelle) and Liam happily say “I do” in front of family, friends and many residents of the beautiful city in that city. Puglia, Italy. Frustrated and heartbroken, Steffy updated Eric and Stephanie about the dramatic events that took place in Puglia. The episode originally aired June 26, 2012.
