Cabinet shows no confidence in the policies of Kashmiri PM: Rabbani | Instant News

ISLAMABAD: Former Senate chairman Mian Raza Rabbani said that the federal cabinet’s rejection of the summary, which was signed by the prime minister, allowing imports of sugar, cotton and cotton threads from India, was distrust of Imran Khan’s Kashmiri policies.

“Despite India’s annexation of occupied Kashmir by changing its constitution, continued curfew for more than 606 days, cultural genocide, demographic change and human rights abuses in the Ruled Valley, the government wants to normalize relations with the ‘Hitler’ Modi government,” he said. in a statement Friday. He said the decision of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) without taking input from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs amounted to betrayal of the Kashmir cause. He said it was arranged that the official letter on March 23, 2021, should trigger a chain reaction to normalize relations with India while Kashmir continues to burn. The federal government’s actions are highly condemned, he added.

The Cabinet changed the prerogative of PM: Fawad | Instant News

Ag APP

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry said Thursday the federal cabinet is not discussing changes in its composition, because that is purely Prime Minister Imran Khan’s prerogative.

“Whenever, he finds it appropriate, he will make changes in the cabinet,” he said in response to questions during a media briefing on the federal cabinet decision.

Fawad said the media should know that the ECC consists of economic experts, while the federal cabinet consists of politicians, representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and financial experts.

“Maryam Safdar’s silence is not a good thing. Hopefully the cabinet will listen to people like us this time, ”he said when asked if he would come back against giving him any relief, as he did in the case of Nawaz Sharif.

Referring to the coronavirus, Fawad said the two waves of the pandemic had been successfully contained and efforts to combat the third wave in the same way were appreciated globally.

He admitted that this third wave had an impact on many people and this time the government also wanted to handle it in an organized manner, as had been done before.

He said 98% of Pakistanis will get the free vaccine, which will be imported by the government itself or through donations, while 2-3% of people, who don’t want to queue up will be vaccinated for a fee.

He said the Russian vaccine price dispute was ongoing at the Sindh High Court, while the Chinese vaccine price had been set at Rs4,225.

After the Sindh High Court’s final decision, Sputnik’s price will also be set, he said, explaining that the prime minister’s main focus is so that the people are not made to pay exorbitant prices.

Imran is no longer PM as the cabinet rejects the summary: Abbasi | Instant News

ISLAMABAD / LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Thursday said Imran Khan should know that he is morally no longer prime minister after the federal cabinet rejected his summary on imports of sugar and other goods from India.

Addressing a press conference here with Ahsan Iqbal, Abbasi demanded that the Supreme Court should uncover those behind the kidnapping of voting staff at Daska’s NA-75 by-election in connection with geo-fencing reports from chief officials.

“This is not just a question of the by-election results, but also the kidnapping of polling officers to steal the election,” he said.

Holding the government responsible for the whole situation, Abbasi said it was now binding on the Supreme Court to expose the people behind the attempt to steal the election.

He said the report revealed that the chief officer was detained at the same place after the “kidnapping” from the polling station.

“They were held in the same place for 12 hours after voting time ended to change the number of votes,” he said, adding that those who are now talking about electoral reform are responsible for the situation.

He said the same model was used in the 2018 general election during the RTS [result transmission system] has failed.

He also referred to an incident in which the chief officers were taken in a Rangers vehicle.

“I hope the Supreme Court will try to find out who stole the election,” he said.

Ahsan said the geo-fencing report data, for the first time, proved to be an organized conspiracy.

He said it was not a matter of just 20 polling stations, because the entire election process at 350 polling stations was questioned.

“This is a more serious problem than Panamanian fraud and we hope the Supreme Court will support the Pakistan Election Commission’s decision on re-voting at all polling stations,” he said.

He said accepting re-votes at only 20 polling stations meant giving bailout packages to the hands involved in the attempt to steal the election.

“With whose permission, the district administration, federal agents, and police became part of an organized conspiracy to steal the Daska elections?” He asked.

He said those involved in the lousy game, which also claimed the lives of two political workers, should be put in charge.

Ahsan Iqbal said anyone who tries to rig Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s election will be considered a friend of Indian Prime Minister Modi and follow his story.

Earlier addressing a press conference in Lahore, Ahsan said the united Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) party and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) had made a bad deal by allying themselves with the ruling party in the Senate elections.

Ahsan said, PDM will immediately send the packaging to the government. He said the PDM’s fight was aimed at getting rid of Imran Khan and putting the country on the right track.

He said the government was taking revenge on the leadership of PML-N by registering fake cases, which was very unfortunate.

He said the government was still looking for a professional finance minister even though his three-year term had passed.

“Imran Khan’s selfishness has destroyed the country,” he said, adding that the country continued to develop during the PML-N era.

“Pakistan doesn’t need an enemy today because Imran Niazi has done quite a lot of damage to the country,” he said, adding that the country had been so damaged that no enemy could not do it even after spending billions of dollars.

Ahsan said people cannot pay their electricity bills because of the government’s bad economic policies while foodstuffs are not affordable to them.

Answering questions about government action on sugar

and the flour mafia, Ahsan called it drama and questioned who had been arrested even after an investigation into billions of rupees embezzlement.

He said Nawaz Sharif used to talk about relations with India while keeping national interests in mind but slogans were being shouted against him and today the ruling government is making all kinds of deals with India.

He asked if the disputed status of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ & K) had returned and who was behind starting trade with India.

He accused whoever did this had endangered the national interest.

“The only way to save the country is by holding fair and transparent elections,” he added.

Ahsan Iqbal said PML-N also has an economic program, economic experience and an economic team and today everyone benefits from the project they have founded.

He said the government could not yet protect the corona vaccine because it was wasted or misused by VIPs.

He said the government’s incompetence could be seen from being unable to manage anything, including the corona, economy, and abroad.

Ahsan said the government had destroyed the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

“If there were PML-N in the government, the CPEC portfolio could reach more than Rs100 billion today,” he added.
