Brazilian striker Ronaldo is unstoppable: Mikael Silvestre | Football News | Instant News

PARIS: Former Manchester United and France defender Mikael Silvestre has praised the Brazilian striker Ronaldo, said he was unstoppable during his playing days.

Silvestre has played with – and is against – some of the world’s best players, including Brazilian Ronaldo, whose defender plays together at Inter Milan.

“He is unstoppable,” Silvestre was quoted as saying by the official Manchester United website, manutd.com.

Silvestre said he had played with a Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and fight against Argentinian genius Lionel Messi, but in terms of speed, Brazilian Ronaldo is something else.

“You called him ‘El Fenomeno’ at that time. I played against Messi and I played with Cristiano at Manchester United, but he (Ronaldo) is another thing in terms of speed.

“Everything is top level. Cristiano, maybe you can guess that he has three or four tricks that he will use most of the time, but Ronnie, it’s always something different.”

Silvestre said Ronaldo from Brazil could score from all types of positions on the football pitch.

“He creates things on the spot, so you can’t guide him to the left or right because he will get out of this situation, no matter what. He can score goals from all kinds of positions. He plays with one foot in several match points and still beating defenders throughout Europe. ”

Silvestre also has a shared assignment Indian Super League (ISL) side Chennaiyin FC in 2014.
